I have been a Girl Scout since kindergarten and have earned my Bronze Award, Silver Award, Gold Award and the Presidential Service Award.

I love being a Girl Scout. I am grateful for the skills that I have learned along the way and love helping my community in different ways!

Below is a summary of my Girl Scout community service awards.

Girl Scout Gold Award

My Gold Award project was called, Life Along the Hudson River, and it involved the creation and installation of three interpretive boards along the Jersey City waterfront.

One interpretive board covered Birds Along the Hudson River, another focused on Aquatic Life in the Hudson River, and the final addressed the geography and history of the river itself.

This Gold Award project was done in partnership with the Newport Property Owners Association, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, New-York Historical Society, and the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation.

I completed my Gold Award project during my junior year of high school and it took me over 100 community service hours to complete.

Girl Scout Silver Award

My Silver Award project was called Sew Creative. I love sewing and I love animals so I decided to teach others how to sew and gave my local community resources and tools to help a local animal shelter that needed cage comforter blankets for stray dogs and cats.

My Silver Award project took me over 50 community service hours to complete. In total, I taught 40 local middle school students how to sew by doing a simple sewing project (making a fabric corner square bookmark), provided a public school with permanent resources (specifically manuals) on how to make cage comforter blankets, and donated blankets to a local animal shelter.
